Funded Projects

This project will develop and evaluate methodologies to scale-up the production and purification of nanobodies (a.k.a. single domain antibodies, sdAb) that have been engineered to decrease the efficiency of SARS-Cov-2 entry into mammalian epithelial cells. Preliminary work has shown promising activity of anti-angiotensin converting enzyme 2 nanobodies. This project will enable production and purification of sufficient quantities of nanobodies (and other therapeutic proteins) for evaluation in large-scale in vitro studies and in vivo experiments.
